Description

Darkstar announce a new three-track remix EP, featuring their own remixes of two tracks from their latest album News From Nowhere, as well as a remix from German producer Motor City Drum Ensemble. On the A-side, the band manipulates and reshapes their tracks 'Young Hearts' and 'Armonica', the former transformed into a lively and ethereal house experiment reminiscent of Caribou / Daphni's recent work, and the latter recast into a motorik groove, held together by a hypnotic bassline while piano and synth lines ebb and flow. These are more 'dancefloor friendly' tracks, but they retain the transcendent vibe of the originals. On the B-side, Motor City Drum Ensemble takes the track 'A Day's Pay For A Day's Work' in a darker direction.
