Part sendup, part tribute, but always entirely original, Survivors' synthesized soundtrack, created by the super duo Daniele Zandara and Will Davies, harkens back to vampire-hunting franchises of yesteryear. But it does so in a decidedly modern soundscape, exploring things that were impossible with old sound chips. The resulting music is epic, nostalgic, and unexpected, filled with rad riffs and hard-hitting drum fills. iam8bit loves living at the intersection of nostalgia and new-wave (not to mention the intersection of sendup and sincerity), which is why we were eager to bring you this album. This is the 2xLP Vampire Survivors Vol.1, a collection of your favorite songs, themes, and tracks from Poncle's hellish beauty. In keeping with the theme and aesthetic, we've pressed these songs on crimson-tinted Blood Splatter red vinyl. Plus: the cover art, which speaks for itself, with illustrator Nimit Malavia perfectly capturing the mood of Vampire Survivors with a piece so powerful and wicked that your middle school trapper keeper doodles could only dream of being this cool. All brought together to create a radical, undead-killing, garlic-eating vinyl masterpiece.
