They met on a construction site that started with white wine at 8 a.m., followed by a Kronenbourg uppercut around 10 a.m. One had sand, another gravel, and the last cement—that makes a concrete slab. Highlighted by Les Transmusicales 2022 thanks to their EP *Comment Réussir Sa Terrasse* (How to Build Your Patio), the startup Dalle Béton (Concrete Slab) quickly dominated the French punk/rock scene with lyrics as absurd as they are acerbic about the pitfalls of our society. The anthem of protests against pension reform, the track "49.3" went viral on radio stations and picket lines. It is in this context that the album *Nos Plus Belles Chansons* (Our Most Beautiful Songs) is released on Crème Brulée Records, to whom rock owes the discovery of Maxwell Farrington and Guadal Tejaz. A collection of the band's finest works and unreleased tracks, paying tribute to sleeveless down jackets and household appliances, it announces the band's second and final tour—a farewell tour, a premature retirement brought on by the back problems of the slab pourer, known to all artisans.
