Corps Voyou

Description

Eleven intense tracks that explore our intimate territories, our escapes, our contradictions, our porousness with the world. Olivier Daguerre draws a cartography of the soul, where impulses, doubts, and urges collide. For the lyrics, as on his previous album "Virages," Olivier collaborates for a second time with lyricist Louise Quillet.Eleven tracks interspersed with strings, brass, electric guitars, and slide guitars, where Daguerre revisits the rock sounds he cherishes, but where, as a counterpoint, two piano-vocal tracks are captivating and find their place. The album is produced by Esthen Dehut (known, among other things, for his work on Agnès Jaoui's recent album, with violin, Daoud on trumpet, Sébastien Chouard on slide and electric guitar.Between lucid poetry and vital impulse, each song is like an escape, an act of resistance or surrender, questioning the freedom of our bodies and our thoughts.Daguerre, originally from the Basque Country, founded the group Les Veilleurs de Nuit upon his arrival in Paris in the early 90s, with whom he released 3 studio albums in 10 years. In 2005, he released his first 'solo' album 'Ici Je.' Following his participation in the Rencontres d'Astaffort festival, he signed with Francis Cabrel's label, Chandelle Productions. He has recorded 7 studio albums, participated in children's shows "L'Enfant-Porte" directed by Francis Cabrel, "L'Arche Déglinguée" directed by Bruno Garcia, "Zélie la Pirate" by Aurélie Cabrel, and collaborated with many artists including Cali, Sanseverino...Daguerre has shared the stage with: Francis Cabrel, Bénabar, Cali, Têtes Raides, Bertignac, Mickey3D, Saez...
