At just 18 years old, d4vd (David) is a talented self-taught artist offering moody vintage/alternative pop that is both dark and light. Primarily rooted in the world of video games, he decided to produce the sound design for his videos himself to prevent them from being removed for copyright reasons. His songwriting talent was honed from a young age through his passion for rap and poetry.
“The '4' in d4vd represents a spectrum of 4 versions of myself. It's like I have multiple identities: artist, gamer, virtual identity, and antagonist. My debut EP 'Petals to Thorns' is both the beginning and the end of an illusory relationship that I have to fight against,” says d4vd.
