{"product_id":"current-affairs_off-the-tongue_2023_dif","title":"Off The Tongue","description":"To qualify Glasgow-based Current Affairs as a Glasgow group may, at first glance, seem like a red herring. Joan Sweeney (ex-Rose McDowall's Band, Aggi Doom, The Royal We) is a local stalwart, whereas Sebastian Ymai (Comidillo Tapes, Pissy, Anxiety) came to us from Chile via York, and recently moved to Berlin in 2021. New members Gemma Fleet (The Wharves, Order of the Toad, Dancer) and Andrew Milk (Shopping, Pink Pound) are Londoners but were persuaded to leave London for Glasgow after touring there with their previous bands. \"Off The Tongue\" comprises ten short, sharp tracks, written in fragments over a long period and remotely, but entirely shaped in a recording studio, in the space of just a few days, by producer Ross McGowan at Chime Studio. Current Affairs' songwriting process has always been collaborative. These new songs are a little brighter than the band's previous offerings, while remaining true to their propulsive sound. Still embryonic, in the most exciting sense of the word. Current Affairs' music straddles new-wave pop and gothic post-punk, as one might expect from a band based between Glasgow and Berlin.","brand":"Current Affairs","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55307677892952,"sku":null,"price":20230714.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/5055869549745_c751d306-1868-4c4c-a987-80eec37eee2c.jpg?v=1760310390","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/current-affairs_off-the-tongue_2023_dif","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
