A JAZZ STORY (vinyl)

Description

This new project pays tribute to the history of jazz through a contemporary, poetic and anthropological lens. The audience will experience the transformation of jazz at each stage. A journey that will go from the "jazz funeral" of New Orleans to the grand orchestration of Broadway themes. It will continue into the 50s with the modal colors of "cool jazz" to the frenetic energy of the 60s, crescendoing to an apotheotic end. - - The Cuareim Quartet offers an original jazz repertoire composed by its own members. - - A concert with a lot of character, complicity and subtlety that transmits the pure essence of an uncommon style, interpreted by this magnificent classical string quartet composed of: - Rodrigo Bauzá, violinist of the Berlin Radio Orchestra - Federico Nathan, first violin of the Amsterdam Metropol Orchestra and jazz professor at Berklee School. - Olivier Samouillan, jazz violist, Berklee Boston graduate. - Guillaume Latil, cellist, composer and improviser. - - - - Four strong temperaments who share the same musical vision, as rigorous as it is cosmopolitan, and the same love for the string quartet. A formation they place at the beating heart of jazz history, with an album in the form of a time travel
