Author and critic Tim Rutherford-Johnson writes about this release: "In *Renewal Manifestation*, the Copenhagen-based Australian saxophonist and composer Calum Builder embarks on a sort of instrumental necromancy, approaching the organ as an undead spirit—a ‘creature taught to breathe and sigh’, as he puts it. A revenant. Like the draugr of Norse mythology or the Icelandic aptrgjanga (‘again-walker’) or the Celtic barrow-wight, Builder’s organ is reanimated, brought back from the dead—even if not entirely brought back to life.
