Live At Woodstock

Description

Originally scheduled for 08/04 In August 1969, what would become the greatest event in the history of rock music was about to launch many careers with great fanfare and confirm others. This year is also considered by Rock aesthetes as the culmination of one of the most influential American bands of the 60s and early 70s, Creedence Clearwater Revival. It was between 1968 and 1969 that the band would release their greatest hits and distill a "bayou" rock that would leave an indelible mark on those years, which were otherwise inundated with psychedelia and acid power flower. This pivotal period would see the birth of 'Creedence Clearwater Revival', 'Bayou Country', and 'Green River', the mythical albums of this incomparable band. John Fogerty's voice and his brother Tom's powerful riffs would become the indelible imprint of an uninhibited US Rock. Their status as new rock stars earned them a prominent place in the band's playing order, but the Grateful Dead's interminable show ruined the prime time slot reserved for Creedence. All of this did not prevent the band from performing and delivering one of the most successful performances of this legendary festival. The indelible imprint of their Woodstock performance is finally available on a double 180-gram gatefold vinyl.
