I Need A New War, Craig Finn’s fourth solo album, was recorded in 2018 at The Isokon in Woodstock, NY, with producer Josh Kaufman and engineer D. James Goodwin, who had previously teamed up with Finn on his critically acclaimed solo albums. "Going into it, I saw this record as the third part of a trilogy," says Craig Finn. The third album in a trilogy, after 2015's Faith in the Future and 2017's We All Want The Same Things, I Need A New War once again sees Finn expertly chronicle our complex, often bewildering modern era. He also addresses New York City, his home for the past 18 years. Many of Craig Finn's usual collaborators are featured on this new album, including horn master Stuart Bogie (Antibalas), pianist Sam Kassirer, vocalists Annie Nero and Cassandra Jenkins, and the extraordinary drummer Joe Russo.Disque 1
