Description

This album, carefully composed by 4 musicology students, is far from a youthful mistake. Although largely influenced by the refined Post-Rock of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, A Silver Mt. Zion, or Yndi Halda, and the psychedelic flourishes of 70s rock, the band had, from its very first release, managed to produce an already very personal blend, venturing far beyond pre-established codes. While the 3 long tracks are highly cinematic, playing with dramatic build-ups and extended developments, they are above all full of life, teeming with small and large variations in texture and intensity. Enhanced by some very effective arrangements (strings, vocals, brass) and mixed by Sylvain Biguet (Puzzle, Comity, Birds In Row...), the EP still exudes a captivating dynamic. Only the appearance needed an update.
