Bernard Lenoir l'Inrockuptible

Description

Finally, the first compilation by Bernard Lenoir! Do we still need to introduce BERNARD LENOIR? He was the legendary host of the evenings on France Inter for years, sharing his burning passion for pop music in all its styles and origins. Followed by an incredible number of listeners for nearly 30 years, he literally educated a whole generation addicted to New Wave, Indie rock, refined pop, and light melodies. Today, Bernard Lenoir has left FRANCE INTER but has left an indelible mark on French musical culture. Through this selection crafted by Lenoir himself, you will find all the flavor and the great names of those Indie-Rock years, like an open window onto "this music unlike any other." Lenoir on France Inter in a few dates: Lenoir began his career on France Inter as a music programmer for José Artur's Pop-Club in the early seventies. At the same time, he produced the show Souvenirs, souvenirs (hosted by his friend Patrice Blanc-Francard), Cool dedicated to American black music of the seventies, and Bananas, the first show dedicated to world music. He took flight on his own in 1978 by presenting the rock music show Feedback, whose theme was the title Eruption, from the self-titled album by Van Halen. Feedback: Initially varied, the show popularized Kate Bush, Dire Straits, Moon Martin, The Specials, and even programmed Bernard Lavilliers before making a clear turn towards new wave in the 1980s. Among the highlights of this show, on December 18, 1979, the broadcast of the Joy Division concert at Les Bains-Douches. Dismissed from France Inter at the end of 1984, Lenoir remained present on the radio through Kodak Rock, a show offered turnkey to FM radios, and on television with his show Rockline in Les Enfants du rock. Thanks to Patrice Blanc-Francard, program director, Lenoir made a grand return to Europe 1, with an unforgettable duo with Laurence Boccolini for two seasons between 1988 and 1990. Pierre Bouteiller offered him to reintegrate France Inter in September 1990. It was at the launch of the magazine Les Inrockuptibles, with whose team the host still maintains trusting ties, that the show truly found its style (of "music unlike any other") and its audience. The show even took the name of this magazine for a long time before simply becoming C'est Lenoir, scheduled from Monday to Friday until its end in 2011.
