Description
Pomponio Nenna was born in Bari in 1556. After studying under the tutelage of Stefano Felis in his hometown, Nenna moved to Naples where he began his career as a composer in a stimulating emulation. Thus, through the treatment of text, dissonances, and chromatic modulations, Nenna and Carlo Gesualdo mutually influenced each other in the writing of their madrigals.
