By placing his most emblematic works in their rich context, this edition is an excellent invitation to (re)discover their multiple facets. It spans over a century and brings together a wide range of instrumentalists, singers, orchestras, and prestigious conductors, many of whom are French. The oldest recording, from 1904, features the composer himself. Remastered in high definition. 8CDs out of the 34 come from historical recordings (Alfred Cortot, Jacques Thibaud, Jascha Heifetz, André Navarra, Maurice Duruflé, Jean Fournet, Charles Munch…). Includes several CD premieres.
