CocoRosie is Bianca and Sierra Casady. Sierra sings and plays guitar and flute. Bianca sings and plays percussion (she makes objects vibrate and things creak, she shakes a metal belt). They write everything together. La Maison de Mon Rêve was written and recorded in a tiny apartment in the 18th arrondissement of Paris in spring 2003. La Maison de Mon Rêve was released on Touch and Go Records in March 2004. The album is deceptively innocent; the music enchanting and sweet, yet strange and twisted. An acoustic guitar paints a melody through a haze of cryptic sounds and perversely angelic voices. This 20th-anniversary edition of CocoRosie's debut album, La Maison de Mon Réve, is pressed on green vinyl, packaged in a gatefold sleeve with unreleased photos. The vinyl includes the full album as well as an unreleased bonus track.
