Coconut, a pop folk duo composed of two guitars and two voices, based in Nantes. Together, they draw inspiration from artists like Andy Shauf, Hannah Cohen, and Metronomy, blending their timbres with folk tones and sumptuously crafted vocal harmonies. Their bucolic ballads are inspired by their daily lives, the experiences of their early twenties, and the questions that arise from them through music that aims to be acoustic and organic, connected to their love for nature. The duo demonstrates great attention to detail in the arrangement of their pieces and enjoys adding parts of vintage synthesizers as well as a set of winds and strings that add a more lyrical dimension to their music. Sometimes, a hint of madness, of pop, emerges, with lazy or even naive atmospheres. On the "stage" side, numerous concerts in 2023 and 2024 (+ 60) including opening acts for Natalie Bergman at Stéréolux, Cascadeur at the VIP, and Black Sea Dahu at Temps Machine in recent years, as well as many festivals and a residency at Novomax (Smac). After their 1st EP "In the end" released in 2023 and very beachy singles "Surf on the light," "Wild Coast," which was notably spotted/featured by FIP/Radio France, they will release their 1st album in 2026 with the label Archipel (Animali, The Twin Souls, Blessings, Midnight Cassette, Claire days, Joe Bel, …).
