The album was recorded in the early sixties at Abbey Road Studios. In the early sixties, Cliff Richard had a group that was raw, full of energy and talented: lead guitarist Hank Marvin showed everyone in England what this new "Fender Stratocaster" could do. He had Bruce Welch on rhythm guitar, Jet Harris on bass guitar, and the very energetic Tony Meehan playing smooth percussion (lots of snare drum hits and tone) that give a high-quality feel to the whole.
