Between 1972 and 1975, Claude François was at the peak of his fame. He dominated the hit parades of the era with a unique flair for churning out hits one after another. These songs were either adaptations of foreign tracks he discovered before anyone else (Bélinda, Le mal aimé, Soudain il ne reste qu'une chanson, Sha La La, Une fille et des fleurs) or relied on a golden team (J.P Bourtayre, P.Juvet) for impactful tracks whose choruses are still popular 50 years after their release (Le lundi au soleil, Le téléphone pleure, Chanson populaire). This compilation includes only hits and a superb cover paying homage to a legendary album by the King.
