Cofounder of the Trio Prysm in 1994 (5 albums), Christophe Wallemme has since released three other albums (Time Zone, Namaste, So Many Ways) as the main artist, inspired by his many travels and notably a long stay of five years in India. With "Ôm Project," his fourth opus, Christophe Wallemme reveals a new facet of his personality, the result of work initiated over the past two years that has given birth to new compositions with rock and jazz sounds from the 70s. In this regard, Christophe Wallemme explains: "It seemed essential to me to bring out in this last project my influences from this musical period. The difficulty for me was to compose while taking into account all my inspirations, without falling into a patchwork of styles. I like to say that this album has a rock jazz sound and not jazz rock." Thus, "Ôm Project" is a very personal and elegant invitation, reflecting a mix of these musical genres, percussive and melodic, sometimes shaped by Indian influences. To this end, Christophe Wallemme has called upon musicians who each excel in their genre: Manu Codjia: A guitar with a often saturated sound, and a lyricism already unanimously recognized. Diederik Wissels: An exceptional pianist and melodist, he maintains his pianistic voluptuousness while approaching an additional sound dimension, with personal and always relevant synth sounds. Pierre Alain Tocanier: A young drummer with a powerful playing style. He brings the necessary sound to this project, along with his freshness and sharp approach to the instrument. Prabhu Edouard: An exceptional tabla player, this instrument is Christophe Wallemme's link to his attachment to India where he has stayed for a long time. To perfect the sound universe of "Ôm Project," Christophe Wallemme has also invited: Emile Parisien: His rhythmic placement and phrasing make him one of the most creative and essential soloists on the French scene. Isabel Sörling: A folk siren from the north who shines with her melodic inventiveness, Isabel highlights themes dear to Wallemme, bringing her pop folk touch, sensitivity, and impressive technique. (Between the Bars, Kaya, Epilogue). Ibrahim Maalouf: a unique sound recognizable among a thousand trumpeters. He generously agreed to come play on Rock My Home.
