Mingus Ah Um is Mingus' first album recorded for Columbia. The artwork is by S. Neil Fujita and the album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2013. "Better Git It In Your Soul" is inspired by the gospel songs Mingus grew up with, while "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat" is a reference to saxophonist Lester Young, who died shortly before the album's recording. Limited edition blue vinyl.
