Projet Bleu Vert

Description

Environmental issues have always run through his repertoire, so CharlElie Couture has decided to shine a light once again on his lyrics that sing of love for nature and the need for a form of degrowth with Projet Bleu Vert. As a keen observer armed with his poetic eye, CharlElie Couture did not wait for official reports and headlines to sense that life was in trouble. From his very first album in 1978, he sings "Le jardin de mon oncle," which appears on this album where he invites us to remain clear-sighted about the future (Projet) of the seas (Bleu) and the lands (Vert). This album, whose entire proceeds will go to France Nature Environnement, consists of ten tracks drawn from his discography, plus one previously unreleased track and a poem by Paul Watson that he set to music. Like a good captain, he wanted from the start to create a team of voices to "re-carry" his songs, which thus become duets to be even stronger. It features long-time acquaintances (Jean-Louis Aubert, Angélique Kidjo, Yannick Noah, Cali, Kent...) along with others (René Nunes, Pursang, Papillon Paravel, Souleymane Diamanka...), as well as his daughter Yamée, "all friends." While the genesis of Projet Bleu Vert was obvious, almost a cry, the decision that all proceeds would be donated to France Nature Environnement (a federation bringing together over 6,000 associations) was immediate. The painter CharlElie Couture entrusted the cover art to his friend Michel Granger (author of the iconic covers for Jean-Michel Jarre), who offered a beautiful image on a green and blue background of a planet in good hands.
