Formed by five Venezuelan musicians now scattered across Europe and South America—Daz Medrano (vocals), Alfredo Ovalles (keyboards), Javier Landaeta (guitar), Antonio Silva (guitar), and Miguel Ángel Moliné (drums)—the band creates music steeped in the emotional and political realities of migration. This project emerged from their previous bands Echoes and Triad in Venezuela, taking shape remotely as each member changed countries, rebuilt their lives, and faced the ongoing collapse of their homeland. This fragmentation fuels the tension and atmosphere of their self-titled album.||||Tracks like The Fury and the Sound, A Reason To Fall, The Epiphany Tree, and Home explore alienation, fractured identity, and the persistent pull of memory. Musically, the band sits between post-metal and art rock, blending the emotional scope of Dredg, the power of Deftones, the expansiveness of Oceansize, and the melancholic introspection of Porcupine Tree. It is a sound built on contrasts: aggression and fragility, density and space, proximity and distance. Changing Places in the Fire is a remote collaboration born of necessity and shared history—a testament to survival, displacement, and transformation.
