Céline Bonacina is one of the beautiful female revelations of the jazz scene. After a foundational stay on the Island of Réunion, she invented, around her baritone saxophone, a multicolored universe that invites dancing. Acclaimed by critics and applauded on major stages, she continues her journey with impressive vitality. After two albums on the ACT label in a groove and electric vein, created in collaboration with guitarist Nguyên Lê, she presents a new acoustic quartet, resolutely jazz, but always original, surrounded by internationally renowned musicians. Gwilym Simcock is the most prominent pianist on the British scene, his intensely melodic and lyrical playing has earned him a call from Pat Metheny for his upcoming tours. Asaf Sirkis, an Israeli drummer based in London, is his long-time partner and brings an irresistible color and groove. Canadian Chris Jennings, for his part, lends his deep and singing double bass to Joachim Kühn, Nguyên Lê, Dhafer Youssef, Dave Liebman... A magnificent group has been born!
