Robert Doisneau is the most famous photographer in France and perhaps in the world. He was able to capture simple and natural moments that speak quite loudly to the sensitivity and culture of the French, both nostalgically connected to the past. Doisneau's photos constitute one of the very rare artistic universes that reconcile experts and the general public, being just as comfortable in art galleries as in posters, covers of notebooks or planners in hypermarkets... And today on the covers of classical records, in a brand new collection from Sony Classical. To raise awareness more broadly about classical music, beyond the poster of the great repertoire and the mythical artists defending it, a first link of emotional proximity must be established, an attraction that does not necessarily go through rational criteria or prior knowledge of the subject.
