The Milk Of Human Kindness - Vinyle

Description

"The Milk of Human Kindness," the third studio album by Dan Snaith, originally released in 2005, is the first record released under the name Caribou, after Snaith abandoned his pseudonym Manitoba following a legal threat from Handsome Dick Manitoba of the band The Dictators. Rather than starting from scratch, Snaith merged his two facets – the icy precision of "Start Breaking My Heart" and the sunny exuberance of "Up in Flames" – to create a work that is both hypnotic, influenced by 1970s French progressive rock and German krautrock, and pastoral. The album was critically acclaimed, and its singles, "Yeti" and "Barnowl," remain standout tracks for fans. In this context of a legal name change, it marks the end of a chapter while quietly laying the groundwork for future albums.
