Formed in 2016 by guitarist Tyler Harper and drummer Jeremy Randazzo, who had already worked together on multiple projects, Capra is driven by Harper, who had just come out of a 90-day stay in rehab and was looking to focus on something new. The initial idea was to create something new while giving listeners a sense of nostalgia for the sounds of the band. Nostalgia for the sounds of the hardcore and punk scenes of the late 90s and early 2000s. After undergoing a few lineup changes, they finally added bassist Ben Paramore and singer Crow Lotus, and everything fell into place. "This band symbolizes the fact that hard work, determination, passion, and energy can lead to success. We are all very open about our past struggles and intend to help those who feel in such a deep hole that they can't get out," says Harper. In Transmission is literally the culmination of years of hard work, reflecting everything they have written and poured into the band since the solidification of the band's lineup. "We wanted it to be the heaviest and most complete record possible, made up solely of the best songs we have written over years of playing together, and we are all extremely proud of them, and of each other, because that is the case," says Paramore.
