The propulsive rock soundtrack to the Super Famicom/SNES spin-off title Mega Man X simply kicks ass. Setsuo Yamamoto led the composition, with contributions from Makoto “Tomozou” Tomozawa, Yuki “Sato” Iwai, Yuko Takehara, and Toshihiko “Kirry” Horiyama — collectively known as “Alph Lyla,” Capcom’s in-house band at the time. 34 remastered tracks will be pressed to a black LP, housed in a printed inner sleeve with a wide-spined outer jacket. The vinyl package features several stunning new pieces by Mega Man maven “Ultimatemaverickx.” UMX’s standing amongst the community as a Blue Bomber superfan is undisputed, and he drew on his endless knowledge of the series’ lore to create beautifully composed and story-significant pieces.
