Voice of hope
Description
The rising star of classical music Camille Thomas presents her second album 'Voice of Hope' on Deutsche Grammophon. The Franco-Belgian cellist pays tribute to those who find the strength to triumph over adversity, to create harmony in place of chaos, to overcome hatred through love. The program features the world premiere recording of Fazil Say's concerto Never Give Up, written in response to the terrorist attacks in Paris and Istanbul — and intended for Camille Thomas, who premiered it — as well as a superb selection of melodies, prayers, and lamentations, including Bruch's Kol Nidrei, Gluck's Dance of the Blessed Spirits, and Ravel's Kaddisch. She recorded Never Give Up on the Stradivarius 'Feuermann' accompanied by the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Stéphane Denève. The rest of the program was recorded under the direction of the young French conductor and violist Mathieu Herzog.Buy Voice of hope at the best price
