One of France's most prominent jazz singers signs with ACT for a third duo album! After having appropriated the repertoire of Bach, Bill Evans, Michel Legrand, Brassens, Brigitte Fontaine, and Gainsbourg on her album Pas de Géant (2018), and after having decided to explore her writing and composing talents on her second album "Le Tigre" (2020), the sparkling singer Camille Bertault signs a new duo album with ACT with Austrian pianist David Helbock. This album features original compositions by both musicians as well as carefully selected covers of standards (Egberto Gismonti, Björk, Monk, Scriabin). These tracks highlight the singer's extraordinary vocal virtuosity, her passion for writing, for the sound and meaning of words. The singer unfolds the richness of her unique and free jazz universe where the energy of a feline groove flirts with a suspended classical moment, where her accompanist's exhilarating rhythmic tracks coexist with her sensitive and mischievous poetry.
