With ICU RUN, her fourth album, Camilla Sparksss delivers her most ambitious and radical record to date. Breaking stylistic boundaries, she blends hip-hop, experimental turntablism, dark wave, and industrial textures, all infused with sharp pop melodies and raw, cutting vocals. Each track deconstructs the traditional song form only to reconfigure it into raw and vibrant material, somewhere between controlled chaos and vital pulsation. This intensity is rooted in personal experience: ICU RUN was born in response to the death of Sparksss’ father, confined to an intensive care unit he was trying to escape. The album explores this harrowing in-between state of life and death, weaving a tragic-electric soundscape that is as furious as it is emotional.
