The cult Italian combo CALIBRO 35 is releasing their highly anticipated 7th studio album. "Momentum" follows "DECADE," their previous studio album released in 2018 that marked their 10th anniversary. This represents a new beginning for them. On this new album, their musical palette is even broader, incorporating more synths and electronic sounds, while still maintaining all live instruments, without presets or programming. Drawing inspiration from the work of artists such as Tortoise, Jagajazzist, Dj Shadow, Budos Band, Stelvio Cipriani, Ennio Morricone, Sandro Brugnolini, White Noise, Comet is Coming, and JPEGMafi, the tracks on this new album have become richer and more complex. On the first single "Stan Lee," they collaborated with rapper, producer, and songwriter Illa J, a former member of the supergroup Slum Village and younger brother of J Dilla. On "Black Moon," the Milanese combo set the tone for London artist MEI. The recordings were made by Tommaso Colliva, in the same studio where Calibro released their debut self-titled album twelve years ago.
