With Caliciuri, Cali is undoubtedly signing his most intimate album. Behind this title lies his real surname: the one he set aside over twenty years ago when he chose "Cali" as his stage name, a lighter identity to carry in the face of the unknown of a first musical career. A nickname inherited from his childhood in Catalonia, in his village where he was called "little Cali." Today, after all these albums, all these concerts, all these sorrows, these lights, these disappointments, and above all these great joys that have gradually torn pieces of his skin to transform them into songs, would he be down to the bone? Caliciuri. What remains of him. He could only choose this name, his real name, to release such a personal and organic album, at this perilous time when it is difficult to discern reality from lies. To bring this project to life, Cali called upon Fred Pallem, whose listening and sensitivity elevate these new songs. Across these 42 minutes, Cali, at 58, takes stock and confesses in the youth of his old age. Recorded against the current of the times at the Black Box studio near Angers, with real instruments, real amplifiers, and great musicians, this album already stands as a testament to a saving authenticity.
