CALEXICO and IRON & WINE first came together in 2005 for the now-legendary EP *In The Reins*. At the time, SAM BEAM (IRON AND WINE) was considered one of Americana's most promising talents, with two acclaimed albums under his belt. JOEY BURNS and JOHN CONVERTINO of CALEXICO were a band that had been touring for over 10 years, pioneering a blend of country folk and South American music. 15 years have passed since then; the two groups have gone their separate ways while remaining close. IRON AND WINE has surpassed expectations, enjoying the career we now know, and CALEXICO continues to regularly release magnificent albums.
