Description

The Byrds were among the first groups to merge the best of two worlds. They seized the energy of the British Invasion and blended it with the lyricism and musical elements of the contemporary folk movement. In doing so, they pioneered psychedelic rock and country rock, while maintaining a sonic identity recognizable among thousands thanks to their vocal harmonies and crystalline guitars. On their third album, Fifth Dimension, released in 1966, they unveiled a more experimental, LSD-tinged facet, with the psychedelic rock of tracks such as "Eight Miles High" and "I See You," and a penchant for Indian raga. One of their most innovative albums! Fifth Dimension is available in a limited edition of 1,500 individually numbered copies, pressed on orange vinyl, for its 60th anniversary.
