Royally served by producers such as the Neptunes (authors of a wickedly saturated As I Come Back) and Pete Rock (who delivers a new version of the classic by Public Enemy, Shut ‘Em Down), he reaches a peak on the monumental Pass The Courvoisier, concocted with the support of P. Diddy and the Bad Boy family. Still in shape, Dre signs three remarkable tracks of sobriety including the aptly named first single, Break Your Neck.
Less warrior-like, the last third of the record conjures up funkier and sexier atmospheres. The loop is complete. Busta delivers his best solo album here.
