Born from a long-standing bond between four improvising musicians, Brique plays at building and deconstructing, like a post-punk Russian doll, by tampering with the codes of the song format. Shamelessly fusing multiple influences, from rap to romanticism, from classical harmonies and lyrical flights of fancy to hammered lyrics, accident is never far away and often shakes up the writing. The cut-up, a collage technique in writing, gives the vocals a striking character, while the instruments are ready to jump at any moment. While each piece has its own color, what links the entire repertoire is the slightly overflowing energy and the exacerbated expressionism of the performers.
