On April 21st and 22nd, 1983, Brian May was joined at Record Plant studio in Los Angeles by his friends Eddie Van Halen (guitar), Alan Gratzer (drums), Phil Chen (bass), and Fred Mandel (keyboards). These two days of recording resulted in a 3-track EP released under the name Brian May + Friends: Star Fleet Project. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of this project, the mini-album has been remastered and re-released on CD.
