Pioneers of ambient music, brothers Brian and Roger Eno presented their first album with Deutsche Grammophon last March: Mixing Colours. They continued their exploration with 7 new tracks now included in an extended version of the album. This new work explores the nature of sound and invites listeners to immerse themselves in the infinite space that lies beneath the surface. The creative process began with Roger Eno, who played pieces on his side and recorded them using a MIDI keyboard. He then sent the files to his older brother, who placed each piece in its own sound universe, revising and manipulating its content. The mixing of colors creates bridges between the past and the future of music. Roger's compositions evoke the melodic style of the late Schubert, while Brian's sound design draws inspiration from his groundbreaking conceptual work on electronic music and his fascination with the creative potential of new mediums. The new color-based tracks are in the same artistic vein: meditative listening and pure beauty.
