The Bombist presents the latest work by Bost & Bim, the first since the passing of Jérémie "Bim" Dessus: "Bost & Bim feat Brisa Roché & Winston McAnuff". After winning the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album with the group Morgan Heritage, Bost & Bim are back, accompanied by Brisa Roché and Winston McAnuff, two artists with unique styles who have a special connection with the duo. Brisa was the voice of "Jamaican Boy" alongside Lone Ranger, and Bost & Bim have performed with Winston on stage many times. This project will be released digitally as two EPs, one with Brisa Roché and one with Winston McAnuff, each comprising five tracks (including a cover), a remix, and a dub. A vinyl record will combine both projects. For Brisa, accustomed to stylistic explorations, reggae is a new territory for experimenting with her distinctive voice. Also noteworthy is the presence of rising artist LMK on the track "Shine Your Light". For Winston, it's a return to his roots after several crossover albums with Fixi and Camille Bazbaz. The album was mostly mixed by Laurent Dupuy, a two-time Grammy-winning engineer and long-time collaborator of the duo, as well as by Waks, Fabwize (Dub Monster), and Serial. Bost & Bim, an association of Matthieu Bost & Jérémie Dessus, was formed in 1999. Since then, they have worked with the cream of the reggae scene, both international (Sizzla, Capleton, Morgan Heritage, Alborosie, Gentleman...) and French (Admiral T, Lord Kossity, Pierpoljak, Tairo, Neg'Marrons...). They notably won a Grammy Award in 2016 for Best Reggae Album for Morgan Heritage's "Strictly Roots". They gained worldwide recognition with their three mixtapes "Yankees a Yard", consisting of reggae remixes of hip-hop, R&B, soul, and rock hits. This year, they will notably feature on albums by Morgan Heritage and Chronixx.
