Under his scruffy bearded appearance with an acoustic guitar, Boogers is not a mix of Herman Düne and Sebastien Tellier, our most famous hairy members of the pop international. On the bard side, it would be more appropriate to look towards Grandaddy for connections, and still, Boogers cultivates paradoxes. While he dreams of the perfect pop song, his beard grows and he transforms into a stoner renegade, Eagle Of Death Metal school. The next day, he shaves and it’s a double of Otis (Redding and Shuggie) trying to possess his songs. So rather than exorcising his demons, Boogers decided to invite them all onto his new album. The Ramones, Weezer, Gorillaz, The Clash, The Streets... Kind ghosts that guided him towards the search for the melody that sticks to your sneakers and the rhythm that lifts your soles. And the worst part is that it works. If he is all alone on stage, no one asks him why because he will surely answer that it is too small to accommodate all the musicians of his dreams. And with his microphone, his guitar, his synth, and his turntable, Boogers already takes up a crazy amount of space... Well, the other question we won’t ask him? Whether he will have a beard or not. Because we really don’t care about that, and anyway, we love that he surprises us.
