Rachel Bolan, bassist and co-founder of Skid Row alongside Snake Sabo in 1986, has been shaping the band's sound and attitude for over forty years. Today, he embarks on a new chapter in his career with the release of his very first solo album: Gargoyle Of The Garden State. This punk rock album, produced by multiple Grammy Award winner Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Skid Row, Rush, Alice In Chains), oscillates across eleven tracks between raw, impactful rock songs and more personal, introspective moments. The album brings together an impressive list of guest musicians, including Bolan's Skid Row bandmates: Dave 'Snake' Sabo (guitar), Scotti Hill (guitar), and Rob Hammersmith (drums). Alongside them, several friends also participate in the project, including Corey Taylor (Slipknot), Grammy winner Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme), Danko Jones, Steve Conte (New York Dolls), and Damon Johnson (Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd). For the first time on a full-length album, Rachel Bolan performs the majority of the lead vocals himself. He plays all the bass lines, most of the guitars, and takes a central role throughout the record. "I just did it for fun," he explains, and this sense of freedom permeates the entire album.
