Boisson Divine is the musical project of two childhood friends, who met on the benches of college, in a small rural village in the Gascogne Armagnacaise named Riscle. Their style is an unlikely mix of everything that musicians love: A Heavy/Power Metal base, the energy of Punk-Rock, the traditional instruments of their region, the Pyrenean polyphony, and all of this, sung mostly in the Gascon language.
Over the years, without any premeditation, they realize that they have accumulated enough compositions to release an album. They then get to work and in 2013, they release their first album "Enradigats". Against all odds - and especially their own - the critical success is there and the glowing reviews multiply.
It is then that concert requests flood in. Unable to perform live, due to a lack of musicians, the band will gradually remedy this problem. In two years, the duo will become a sextet. They start to make their first steps, locally, in the Occitanophone scene - very fond of their linguistic approach - without ever playing in front of a typical Metal audience. Little by little, the stage aspect takes on more and more importance in the life of the band. Their second album "Volentat" is released in early 2016, more mature and more refined. The reviews are even better than for the first.

This second record will mark a turning point and allow the band to finally play in the Metal scene throughout France and Belgium, for very nice festivals (Ragnard Rock, Cernunnos, Sama’Rock, Trolls et légendes, Paris Metal France Festival…) alongside renowned bands like Eluveitie, Arkona, The Hu, Saltatio Mortis, Finntroll, Faun, Heidevolk, Moonsorrow, Manegarm, Rotting Christ…
Locally, recognition also comes. Thanks to its popular aspect and its roots in tradition, the songs of Boisson Divine are studied in bilingual French/Gascon schools by students, from kindergarten to middle school. In March 2019, the band even performs on stage, acoustically, accompanied by more than 80 students, some compositions from their albums. Several polyphonic groups from Gascogne, of all ages, also adopt Boisson Divine in their repertoire.
Playing on several fronts and armed with unwavering motivation, they will release their third opus "La Halha" on June 19, 2020. An album even more adult, personal, with a wide range of influences and an even broader musical richness while remaining true to their roots, their catchy and engaging side. To be continued.
La Halha (pronounced la Haille, with the audible H), is the great bonfire, solstice fire, stemming from a multi-century tradition, still perpetuated today in its Christian form (Halha de Nadau, Huec de la Sent Joan). The cover represents the Cross of Béliou (or Abelion, an important god of Pyrenean mythology), the tomb of the old shepherd Milharis, according to legend.
This new 58-minute record proves to be even more epic, complex, and worked than the previous ones, for an overall more serious atmosphere. Quite a few surprises and new sounds while remaining true to the Boisson Divine style, very melodic and catchy.
