Bob Weir is one of the founding members of the legendary band Grateful Dead, which received a Grammy Award honoring its entire body of work in 2007. The band also appeared in Forbes' ranking of the highest-earning artists in the early 90s with the most profitable concerts in the United States. Since the band's formation in 1965, Bob Weir has become one of the most talented and recognizable rock rhythm guitarists.
"Blue Mountain" is his first album with entirely new content in 30 years and it will be available in CD and Double Vinyl versions.
Producer Josh Kaufman has teamed up with Bob Weir on this album, which includes songs co-written with Josh Ritter as well as performances by guitarists Aaron Dessner and Bryce Dessner and bassist Scott Devendorf.
Drawing inspiration from his experience working on a ranch in Wyoming as a teenager, Bob Weir has teamed up with Josh Ritter, the Dessner brothers, Scott Devendorf, and Josh Kaufman to celebrate this period of his life through twelve new songs tinged with Country and Americana.
