French electronic producer Blutch is back with a new trippy and colorful EP, "Condate", on Astropolis Records, extending his album "Terre Promise" released last year and including a remix by the new Belgian sensation Azo. The Breton marked the year 2022 with his first long-form release, acclaimed by the press (Radio Nova, Libération, Télérama, Tsugi...) and the public, blending electronica, house, IDM, and breakbeat while navigating the emotions of his native Brittany, between nostalgia and melancholy. The EP "Condate" once again demonstrates his ability to layer captivating melodies over irresistible rhythms and extends this tribute to Brittany in a more festive, dancefloor-oriented dimension. "Condate" is the original name of the city of Rennes where he lives. A city he passionately loves and to which he had forgotten to pay tribute on the album. The tracks on the EP are mainly taken from the "Terre Promise" live set, and the cover artwork is also extracted from the AV live: a motion design work created by Romain Navier, blending Breton landscapes and hallucinated 3D creations that dress Blutch's stage with a fabulous creation around the album's theme. These tracks represent the most festive part of the live set, as well as Blutch's love for Rennes and also linked to its festive character. The eponymous title is the first single, sweeping us into a certain euphoria from the very first breakbeat notes. Mixing subtle notes, intoxicating vocals, and celestial synths, "Condate" once again synthesizes Blutch's ability to deliver emotional and colorful bangers.
