Club Ninja

Description

Blue Öyster Cult is an American rock band formed in Long Island, New York, in 1967. With 25 million albums sold worldwide, their fusion of hard rock and psychedelia, along with their both fantastic and ironic lyrics, deeply influenced heavy metal. The band's most popular lineup included Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser (lead guitar, vocals), Eric Bloom (vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboards, synthesizer), Allen Lanier (keyboards, rhythm guitar), Joe Bouchard (bass, vocals, keyboards), and Albert Bouchard (drums, percussion, vocals, various instruments). The current lineup still includes Bloom and Roeser. The band continued to record studio albums throughout the 1980s but was dropped by its historic label, CBS/Columbia Records, following the weak sales of their eleventh studio album, Imaginos, in 1988. Their next album, Heaven Forbid, was released about ten years later, in 1998, followed by Curse of the Hidden Mirror in 2001. Two other studio albums have since been released: The Symbol Remains (2020) and Ghost Stories (2024). The band has continued to tour regularly. This is their tenth studio album, originally released in 1985. It is the British/European version, without the spoken introduction to "When The War Comes Home" by Howard Stern.
