Accompanied by Wynton Kelly on piano, Sam Jones on bass, and Roy Brooks on drums, the sideman for Cannonball Adderley and Horace Silver unfurls his nimble and inventive swing on a selection of standards (including Charlie Parker's "Scrapple From the Apple") and an original composition, the swirling "Sir John".
