Blue Lake, a project by Jason Dungan, unveils its fifth and most ambitious album, The Animal. Inspired by the world of Don Cherry and faithful to a direct and sensitive instrumental approach, Dungan continues the path opened with Sun Arcs (2023). This new work, consisting of ten fiery and powerful tracks, highlights the collective alchemy of his band. More amplified yet still acoustic, the album celebrates human collaboration and explores the human condition as an animal, within an ecological and communal vision. The Animal embodies a musical metamorphosis that confirms Blue Lake as a transformative force in contemporary music.
