For the first time since its release, the title Yuletide Throwdown is available as a 180-gram Maxi single, featuring an Alchemist remix. This vinyl is available in a standard version and a limited pink version, presented in a 'Disco-Bag' sleeve illustrated by graffiti artist Militant Hugogyrl.
In the late 70s, pop-punk pioneers Debbie Harry and her Blondie bandmates rose to fame with their blend of punk, rock, disco, and funk styles. It was with the release of their fifth studio album Autoamerican that their global hit 'Rapture' was born, thus introducing the anthem of Hip Hop. The track 'Yuletide Throwdown' uses the same ingredients as 'Rapture' and once again highlights Fab Five Freddy's flow, serving as a timely track for the 1981 end-of-year festivities, released via 'Flexipop' magazine.
