*Souvenirs des contrées galactiques* should be understood and received as the narration of an encounter between two explorers. It's a concept album, an original creation. This album brings together two performers – Blob and Filson – playing string instruments (guitars, augmented viola), two composers weaving stories from far, far away in the galaxy... The sci-fi universe is obviously invoked and forms the narrative framework. But one also finds a tribute to 70s psychedelic rock, the spirit of a Pharoah Sanders, the lyricism of an Ennio Morricone. Paul Personne and Théo Charaf, as guest artists, lend their sensibilities, one on electric guitar, the other on acoustic, each on one track. *Souvenirs des contrées galactiques* is a hybrid musical work, blending genres and eras. Blob and Filson offer us soundscapes like tales of their fantastical journeys.
