This legendary album by Blitzen Trapper is a perfect blend of experimental folk, country, and pop. Blitzen Trapper, the experimental country and folk-rock band from Portland, released *Furr* on Sub Pop in 2008. This album achieved worldwide success, even ranking 13th in Rolling Stone's 50 Best Albums of 2008. For this new deluxe edition of *Furr*, Blitzen Trapper offers us the original album and 12 previously unreleased songs. All these songs come from the same recordings that produced the album *Furr*, with the exception of the "Live at KCWR" tracks, which were recorded during the *Furr* Tour. After the album's success, the unreleased songs "War is Placebo," "Booksmart Baby," and "Maybe Baby" appeared on limited edition singles for Record Store Day in 2009 and 2011 and are now featured in this re-release. This re-release also includes new liner notes from Eric Earley about the album and its current significance. There's also a song-by-song description of the bonus tracks, and a Q&A with Blitzen Trapper's live technicians and fans, and Rainn Wilson.
